Unwillingness to surrender to Krishna

Q. It is very difficult to understand about our eternal existence in the spiritual world. The general answer is that we misused our free will and hence, we fell down. But when the spiritual world is full of bliss and everyone serves the Supreme Lord, How did we get the feeling to be seperated from the Lord and enjoy independently?

A. Srila Prabhupada explains this with a simple but an appropriate analogy. When a person is eating sweets. He is enjoying. Sometimes he feels like eating something pungent. Please note it is not that he was not enjoying sweets. But he desires something different. He is a living soul with independent desires.

Similarly the living entity desires to taste material life because he has never experienced it. He comes down to material world once and gets a horrible experience. He learns the lesson and goes back by engaging in devotional service. Once he is back he never desires to come back down again. Srila Prabhupada would call this attitude as the causeless unwillingness to surrender to Krishna.
