Q. What should be our attitude while performing our duty?
A. Lord Krishna explains this point in the Bhagavad-gita (2.47). He says, karmanye vadhikaraste ma phalesu kadacana/ ma karma-phala-hetur bhur ma te sango ‘stv akarmani: “You have a right to perform your prescribed duty but you are not entitled to the fruits of action. Never consider yourself the cause of the results of your activities and never be attached to not doing your duty.”
The easiest way to do this is by offering all the results to Krishna understanding that He is the master and proprietor of all that I have and it is by His mercy that I am able to do whatever I can do.
