Q. There are people who are not the avatars as known but how is it that their claims and miracles have impacted so many millions? How are they able to impart so much of knowledge, expecially from the Bhagwad Gita?
A. There are many people in this world who have acquired siddhis and mystic powers. With these powers, one can perform many miracles like curing some ailments, creating some gold, etc. They use these powers in helping people around them.
These miracles are not spiritual. Their working constitute a subtle form of material science. We need to understand that such miracles are not of real value from the absolute point of view. These are just temporary solutions to the problems. Could they cure the real problems of life (i.e. birth, old age, disease and death) permanently? If they have done that, it is worth calling it a miracle.
The knowledge of Bhagavad-gita is meant to make a person devoted to Krishna, understanding that Krishna is the Supreme Controller, Proprietor and Enjoyer of everything and that He is the best friend of all. If they really imparted this knowledge to the people, we should have seen their followers becoming devotees of Krishna rather than becoming their own devotees. Therefore, it is not sure if they actually knew the essence of the Gita.
