Memorising Shlokas

Oct 2nd, 2007

Q. How to memorise and understand shlokas from Bhagavad Gita?
- Krishna

A. To learn shlokas by heart, the easiest way is to read them aloud again and again. If you don’t get much time to do that, you can paste them at a spot which is easily within your view viz. above your table etc. and whenever you pass by, you can stop by and just read the paper once. This is the easiest way to learn slokas by heart. Even once a day is good enough. Of course, you can sit at one place and practise it for hours but common people seldom find time to do that in today’s busy times. Any exposure to Sanskrit language will definitely be an added advantage.

To understand the verses correctly, we have the simple and powerful Bhaktivedanta purports given to us by Srila Prabhupada. They will help us to unlock all the mysteries of Bhagavad Gita.
