Stopping cyclic process by chanting holy names

Q. I read one article in this months BTG. It said that if I kill someone in this life then LORD KRISHNA gives that person (soul) a chance to kill me in next life. Then is it so that in the next to next life I wil also get a chance and the cycle will continue?
A. Yes, the cycle may continue. But if the cycle continues, we are just being part of a cat-and-mouse game. The real purpose of life is to awaken our dormant love for God. So, a better option is to stop this cyclic process and turn to God by chanting His holy names.
